Delegations

Student representatives of the Computer Science Student Council sit on the following committees. Unless otherwise stated, they are proposed by the student council and delegated by the faculty council based on these proposals.

Studierendenrat (StuRa)

The Studierendenrat (general student council) is the highest body of student self-administration. It meets on Thursdays every two weeks at 7:30 p.m. The StuRa currently consists of 5 divisions (internal affairs, university policy, teaching and studies, public relations and social affairs) and has 37 members, who are delegated by the student councils of all faculties. Since people from (almost) all departments participate, the StuRa is also a good place for networking.

The student council represents the students university-wide towards the rectorate, the state, the student union etc. and is also responsible for the budget and the semester ticket.

For the most part, we talk about financial resources for projects (e.g. lecture series, lecture series, new equipment for university groups, etc.) and idealistic things (e.g. what positions are represented, do we support projects in finding space, etc.).

The representatives of the computer science faculty are delegated by the faculty council

Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is the "Parliament of the Faculty". Here, in monthly meetings, the major organizational, financial and personnel issues are decided.
It sets the direction for the faculty and decides on dates (e.g. for the OUTPUT). It confirms the study documents that are decided in the study commission and is responsible for the appointment of professors.

It consists of 6 professors, 3 staff members and 2 students.

The student representatives of the computer science faculty in the faculty council are elected once per year in the course of the university elections

Examination Boards

An examination board deals with all questions relevant to the subject of exams. Whether it is the recognition of examination results or the application for a second repetition. There is a separate examination board for each degree program.

Study Commissions

The study commissions meet quite infrequently and their main task is to discuss and decide on changes to the study and examination regulations. Here, too, there is a separate StuKo for each degree program.
